The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the heartbeat of our store — the first smile, the helping hand, and the trusted style guide for every customer who walks through our doors. Your mission is to deliver an exceptional in-store experience, exceed sales expectations, and represent the Sportscene brand with confidence and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a brand ambassador: Represent Sportscene with pride by offering an engaging and positive customer experience that reflects our culture and values.

  • Deliver exceptional service: Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide personalised advice and product recommendations that inspire confidence and style.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets: Take initiative in driving store performance through active selling, upselling, and cross-selling across a wide range of apparel, footwear, and accessories.

  • Stay on trend: Keep up to date with the latest fashion and streetwear trends, ensuring that your product knowledge supports meaningful customer conversations.

  • Merchandise and restock: Maintain the store’s presentation standards by ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked, neatly arranged, and visually appealing at all times.

  • Monitor performance: Track and report on sales results daily, taking ownership of your contribution to the store’s overall target.

  • Support teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and exceptional service delivery throughout the day.

Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this fast-paced and customer-focused environment, you’ll need to bring both passion and performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

  • Previous retail experience will be an advantage, especially in fashion or lifestyle environments.
