Warehouse Assistant
Purpose of the Role
The Warehouse Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring efficient parts management within the dealership while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, dispatching, and managing inventory in line with Volvo’s global operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound (Receiving)
-
Ensure accurate receiving of goods according to Volvo procedures.

Verify received items against documentation and record any discrepancies on the GDS system.
-
Bin all parts according to system allocations for proper tracking.
Outbound (Dispatching)
-
Process customer orders, ensuring correct picking, packing, and distribution of parts.
-
Update the system after authorization and verify invoices before dispatch.

Provide efficient support to the workshop by delivering parts promptly.
Stock & Credit Management
-
Ensure accurate credit note processing and maintain proper filing records.

Perform daily perpetual stock counts and investigate discrepancies thoroughly.
Housekeeping & Safety
-
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized warehouse environment.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
-
A Diploma in Warehouse Management or 3+ years of experience in warehousing.
Key Competencies
-
Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong customer service orientation.
-
Ability to plan, prioritize, and work within deadlines.

Team player with effective communication skills.
2. Driver
Purpose of the Role
The Driver ensures the safe and timely delivery of goods while supporting warehouse operations, including receiving, packing, and dispatching parts.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately receive, bin, and deliver automotive parts.
-
Pick, pack, and dispatch items as per customer and workshop requirements.

Ensure proper Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation for all deliveries.

Adhere strictly to ISO 9001 quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
-
Valid Code 8 driver’s licence with PDP.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Driver or Warehouse Assistant.
